S30 "because an app is obscuring permission .."
I'm attempting to install Wireguard on my S30. It installs fine but when I add a client setting and try to enable it I get. "because an app is obscuring permission ..." This prevents the "OK" button from being enabled; only cancel works.
This is a fairly common problem and I've come across it trying to install other software, including Nova Launcher, on this device.
I've tried various methods to get around this problem including safeboot and disabling "Display over other apps" for all apps that have this ability. I've also tried force stopping most of the apps. Nothing works. Apparently the S30 has something running in the background to prevent connection permissions on these apps.
Anyone know what is going on?
I need wireguard for access to my remote lan.

Hello @D_Art ,
thanks for your question.
Please change the settings as follows:
settings-apps & notifications.
Hope this could help you.
I don't understand what you want me to do. There is nothing in "settings -> apps & notifications" that helps with this problem. As I said. even if I go into "Special app access -> display over other apps" and disable this feature for all apps that have this ability I still have the problem. I am unable to allow permissions for Wireguard or Nova Launcher.
The only thing I can think of is that S30 has some process running that is causing this behavior that is not visible by normal methods. I force closed every app I'm allowed to; nothing helps. If I boot into safe mode then I am unable to access the Wireguard app to even attempt to allow permissions.
Try to install Wireguard app on an S30 then set up a client and enable it. You should see what I'm talking about.
