Where is GPS

I have a S7 tablet. I can’t seem to activate GPS function. When I ask the unit to locate in maps it continually says it can’t “at the moment”. Any help?

    thanks for your question.

    The S7 tablet GPS requires internet.

    If you use it outdoors, you must download offline maps in advance before you can use it.

    Thanks for a prompt response. Sorry but I don’t understand. I want to use the tablet for navigation while flying. In that situation, internet access is not available. I have already downloaded the navigation software maps but the tablet seems unable to locate me. The tablet claims that it can be used anywhere and isn’t dependant on the internet. This seems not to be the case from what you say. Grateful if you could advise me please.

    What about the S21tablet GPS capability? Going to use it on a boat out of range of internet. If I need an internet connection, the tablet is useless to me. Can I connect a GPS antenna to the tablet?
