Huge black spot on lens/screen
Hi there! We’ve had our mini projector a year, and the last couple months a large black circle started forming and has gotten bigger. We’ve cleaned the lens, so we know it’s not that, and nothing is in front of the lens. (Ignore the plant in the bottom right corner of the picture :P) Does anyone have any idea what this could be, what’s causing it, and how to fix it? Thanks!

Hello @L1ttlew0lf ,
thanks for your question.
Could you please tell us the projector model of this one?
Then we can find the exact problem and solutions of it,
thanks.
Besides, please check the air inlet and outlet of the machine to confirm whether they are blocked.
If they are blocked, the high temperature caused by the heat may result in such kind of black circle in the screen.
Hi! Thanks for the quick response. It’s the VANKYO LEISURE 3 Mini Projector.
The projector is by itself on a shelf so there is nothing to block it :)
Hello @L1ttlew0lf ,
thanks for your response.
Could you please do me a favor to take a photo of that projector,
we want to see the surroundings around the projector clearly,
which will help us to define the problems,
thanks.
Hello @L1ttlew0lf ,
thanks for your response.
We found that the air outlet of the projector was a little close to the books,
so the emitted heat can't be spread quickly,
which will increase the temperature of the projector elements.
The black spot on the screen occurred because of the high temperature.
So you should move some books away and give more space for the air outlet.
But even though, because of a long period of uncorrected usage,
the black spot won't disappear, you should contact the after-sale service for repairing.
Hope this could help you,
thanks.
Hi thanks for the response. I check the projector frequently during use to make sure it’s not over heating, which it doesn’t, and the space between the projector and the books is well over 2 inches, and the vent isn’t directly facing the books. Please reference the close up photo I’ve attached.
Anything else it could be?

Sorry, @L1ttlew0lf ,
we have tested this before, if the projector was affected by the high temperature,
then it will result into a black spot on the screen.
we can't figure out any other problems.
