Connecting Android to Leisure 410

I have attempted to connect my Samsung S8 to the L410 but cannot get past the opening screen to mirror any content from my phone - initially just want to put up photos from my Gallery. I have used a new HDMI to C cable. All I see is Samsung Dex screen but can't get past this - (it doesnt work) any ideas for an App that might facilitate this so I can use the projector

    Just found a 'hidden' notification on the home screen of my Samsung, had no idea the Dex connection to the projector would be so abstract - almost like it is a secret to get it to work - why not just have an app on the phone you can tap and activate !!
