Vankyo V630 External Hard Drive - USB connection

When I connect my Toshiba External Hard Drive via it's USB connection to the USB port on the Vankyo V360, the projector does not display the movies on it? However, when I plug my laptop into the projector via the HDMI cable, and then plug my External Hard Drive into my laptop, I can play the movies on my External Hard Drive.

Why isn't the projector recognising the movies on my External Hard Drive when I plug it directly into the projector via the USB port?

  • Dear Customer, please be reminded that the following situations may cause V630 to fail to read the data from External Hard Drive:

    1. The External Hard Drive memory is too large which is more than 1TB. This may result in a failure of reading the file.

    2. A single file or movie should not be larger than 2GB. Files larger than 2GB may cause the file unreadable.

    3. Make sure that USB Drives linked is in FAT32 format as it is the only format can be read through.
