  • I am having the same issue, no response from customer service as of yet.

  • I am having the same issue

  • same If I had known I would not download that update as they send an update to make the tablet worse, it does not work

  • Update as of 7/8/20, customer support emailed and said they are investigating problem, asked if I could wait for 1-2 weeks for a solution.

  • The technical support answered me but the truth is that I get a black screen and I can not see the recovery mode or reset that update, that damage the tablet because I do not see or logo only the black screen

  • Exactly. I see a very faint flicker on the screen. I see no way that they will be able to fix this.

  • Same thing happened to me on my S30 tablet last night. It is looping between the black screen, dim start up screen, bright start up screen. I tried a Factory reset, but it does nothing (Power + Volume). I managed to push the hole-button under the power button with that and the power (or volume) key it turns off, so it did not loop all night. This morning power on gives the same. I have FB messengered the Support but have not heard anything. Please post if any of you get a solution.

  • Thanks, sent email, FB messenger, Amazon review and here.

  • As of 7/11/20, customer support did say try same thing you guys are doing but still not booting up, guess pad is dead...do not update.......my pad is just out of warranty....will purchase another through a different manufacturer who may care a little more.

Its just a shame that 1000's will be out of their money spent on these tablets.

  • It is bad that mine was 99 days since I received it. I will be very disappointed if they do not offer a fix.

  • Same thing here. They sent me a link to push a firmware update on it through my laptop. Its a massive .zip file that includes the required Rockchip driver necessary to read the tablet via the USB port (from what I understand anyhow, this is all a little above my technical pay grade) and guess what? The Rockchip driver doesn't install. At least not on Windows 10. I tried installing it from other sources, watched multiple useless videos on the internet and spent a good 6 hours on it for nothing.

And the *best* part? We have no idea if the firmware update would even work to fix our problem.

Has anyone else gotten the firmware link from them as a fix and if so, did it work for you?

  • I did all those steps they sent me that but I left the tablet the same that did not solve anything the tablet did not present messages to me in that procedure

  • UPDATE: I finally got the Rockchip driver installed by using the most recent version offered instead of the one that Vankyo provided. After some trial and error, mainly due to the terrible directions, I successfully updated the tablet. And it's still a brick. The firmware update doesn't fix a thing. My laptop even said the tablet is corrupted and Windows can't recognize it.

We all deserve either replacements or refunds.

  • I tried to post pictures but the forum isn't letting me, sorry.

Side note: I know almost nothing about computers so I'm actually pretty proud of myself that I managed to pull this off, even if it didn't fix the problem with the tablet. ? And can confirm to the community here that the link Vankyo provides to fix the problem is NOT A FIX. At least now we know for sure.

  • I have been able to repair the tablet with the steps they sent me from vankyo, I leave the link here

I get that message when attempting an upgrade on an s30 to the June update.

  • They sent me a new link but it was too late. The update and then the firmware they first sent me just destroyed the thing. The hard drive is wiped, there is no Android operating system left. I managed to get it to connect to my laptop and its just a big blank, no files, no nothing. Won't allow me to even upload a picture.

Vankyo ended up sending me a replacement that should come in today, after I paid for the 15 dollar shipping, of course, to send the old one back. Honestly the customer service is just so beyond terrible that I regret ever doing business with them. I should have just spent double and gotten a Samsung.

  • Tried Wifi/Network update and tablet will not boot after software update. I have tried the power/volume button combo several times....no success. Purchased 6/8/2020 was working fine no issues at all loved it then this happened. Please help.

  • Wish I read this page before I wi-fi updated my tablet today!

Bought it through Amazon 5 months ago!

The tablet is dead now, Shows up in file explorer, but there is nothing in it.

    All my stuff is gone.

How can the people from Vankyo ignore this problem?

  • I have tried to download the google drive fix and it extracts all but the 1 file i need

    Help!!

  • The above google drive links do not work, I have a Z4 that is jacked after the update, and a very pissed off little girl, is there an updated link to fix this damn thing? I'll give it a day before bad reviews and never purchasing again.
